SEND LSA (Special Needs Teaching Assistant)

We are looking for empathetic, resilient, and energetic people to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long-term, full-time SEN TA role!
One of our schools caters for students, aged from 11 to 19 years, who have a primary diagnosis of autism. They focus on supporting their children and young adults to reach their full potential through a variety of methods such as supporting their sensory development and learning life skills. We are looking for staff who want to assist children with their progression to make a highly valued, positive difference in their lives. The Role:
Employment Type - Agency (Either long term, Temporary or Temporary to Permanent)
Days Required - Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm (Full-time)
Pay - £90 to £95 per day PAYE (Dependant on experience).
The Ideal Candidate will:
To be considered for the role, the desirable candidate will have previous experience of working within a School, College, or Provision. However, we will also consider candidates that have some of the following:
1. Child Care Experience - Through personal or professional experience.
2. Special needs experience - Experience through family, friends, or professional environments.
3. Great interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, caring attitude.
4. An energetic attitude where you want to get involved wherever possible.
5. Good general education levels in English and Maths.
6. Flexibility with required working patterns.
7. A willingness to learn and have a genuine enthusiasm to make a difference.
Your Main Duties:
1. Offer support for the school's students before, during, and after their lessons.
2. Aiding students with their understanding and participation in tasks.
3. Help promote each student's love of learning.
4. Actively taking part in team meetings.
5. Always follow the regulations pertaining to safeguarding.
6. When required, support individual needs, including assisting with a wide range of medical and occasionally personal care tasks and physical support where needed (Training will be provided in giving medical care and support).
7. Working either on a 1:1 or group basis to support learning.
8. Inspiring and engaging with children with a wide range of additional learning needs.
9. Assisting with the personal care needs of pupils, which may include feeding, changing, and manual handling (TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL).
As an agency worker, you are only paid for the days you have worked. Therefore, you will not be paid during the school holidays.
