Job summary Aintree University Hospital is a large, complex organisation providing acute healthcare to a population of 330,000 in North Merseyside and surrounding areas. Aintree Cardiac Centre provides a wide range of invasive and non-invasive investigations including ECG and ambulatory monitoring, Tilt table testing, Exercise tolerance testing, Echocardiograms (including Stress, Transoesophageal and 3D echoes), Cardiac catheterisation and Permanent pacing implant and follow up. We are looking for an assistant technical officer to join our friendly and energetic team within the Cardiac Laboratory. Main duties of the job The job role will involve performing electrocardiograms in ward areas, clinics and A&E at Aintree and also in our community based clinics in Litherland and Maghull. The role also includes application of ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitors. Suitable candidates would ideally be expected to have prior experience of basic cardiac anatomy, ECG recording and ambulatory monitors. In-service training will be provided to potential candidates with limited previous experience.
