Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for managing the allocation of cash receipts for your allocated ledger.
2. Consistently reach out to respective customers to discuss ongoing improvements in communication required to ensure prompt payment from major accounts.
3. Report on a regular basis to the Credit Control Manager on the position of the assigned sale ledger and problem accounts, discussing the course of any action where applicable.
4. Oversee the opening of new customer accounts, ensuring that all departments are chased for correct information.
5. Create, initiate, and promote new ideas and processes.
6. Proactively contact customers (primarily by phone and secondarily by email) to chase outstanding monies and deal with any customer queries.
7. Manage the process to ensure customers have received invoices that have been accurately raised and distributed in a timely manner.
8. Create and maintain customer accounts and run credit checks on existing and new customers.
9. Know and understand the processes of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) invoicing and ensure resolution of all errors and queries received.
10. Assist in refining existing processes and procedures to help maximize cash collection.
11. Build and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally, ensuring high standards of service are always provided.
12. Structure and plan all responsibilities to ensure the most efficient use of time and efforts.
13. Handle disputed accounts and negotiate with clients to bring payment in line with terms.
14. Undertake other ad hoc duties as directed by the Credit Manager.
