We are seeking to fill an open position for a research fellow/associate within the nanoscience group, based in the School of Physics and Astronomy, at the University of Nottingham.
We are looking for an experimental leader with experience and expertise in ultra-high vacuum scanning probe techniques to lead and participate in a wide variety of research projects ranging from atomic scale electronic and magnetic impurities in solids to the development of novel two-dimensional material systems. This position will include independent leadership of scientific projects and mentorship of younger Ph.D. students within the nanoscience group.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in physics or other related field, or be near to completion.
The position will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 30 April 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on EPSRC funding approval. Hours of work are full time, 36.25 hours per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
