Role Overview: As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will inspire students with your enthusiasm for science, helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver outstanding Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5. Make science engaging and accessible for students of all abilities. Foster an environment of inquiry, encouraging students to explore scientific concepts and think critically. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure their success. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enhance the student experience. Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and department resources. Provide pastoral support and create positive relationships with students. Participate in extracurricular activities and science-related events to inspire students beyond the classroom. Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support student progress. Who We're Looking For: A qualified Science teacher with experience teaching at secondary level (Key Stage 3 and 4; Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential). A passion for science and the ability to inspire and motivate students. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive and positive attitude towards professional development.
