You will need to demonstrate that you can partner with business managers and leaders to understand their business objectives and provide relevant strategic HR inputs. Job Context: We are looking for a HRBP who will be able to convince stakeholders that they are the trusted people expert in the room, who has acquired a deep understanding of the business, thereby offering appropriate challenge whilst building consensus. You will work closely with the HR Centres of Excellence to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the businesses you support. To be successful, you must be able to develop meaningful relationships with all managers in your businesses, and other people teams in the organisation. Skills in relationship building and influencing are essential. Job Dimensions: This is a full time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role as per our Working Arrangements Policy and will be based in the Oxford site with regular travel to Sowerby Bridge and Newcastle Upon Tyne. Attendance at the Thame site may be required The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible with their working arrangements. This role will report to the Senior HR Business Partner. Key Accountabilities: You will take the time to understand business needs and strategy whilst being able to communicate and deliver HR policies, processes and initiatives, working in collaboration with the two centres of excellence (Leadership, Coaching & Development, and HR Services & Rewards). You will deliver well defined job roles and organisational structures to managers to help them build strong performing teams with the skills needed to drive our businesses forward You will be proactive, building mutually respectful relationships with stakeholders, whilst demonstrating excellent influencing skills. As a result of your deep experience and knowledge, you will be the trusted people expert in management team meetings, offering appropriate challenge whilst building consensus. You will promote, support and deliver the ongoing regular HR activities e.g. workforce planning, salary reviews, performance excellence, well-being and engagement, taking the time to apply and safeguard our people processes. You will stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies and initiatives to drive organisational success. Qualifications, experience and skills: Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus. Minimum of CIPD level 5, ideally level 7. 5-10 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on business partnership Experience of working in a matrix environment Excellent understanding of Employment Law to support Employee Relations activity Evidence of delivery of Change Management and Organisational Design programmes Digital acumen and the ability to analyse Management Information and use for practical outputs Skills & Expertise: Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from around the business. As such, you will need to be able to present effectively to different levels of seniority as well as influence your stakeholders to incorporate the HR activity in their plans You will be able to manage multiple tasks at once and also able to demonstrate that you work well both as part of a team and independently. It is essential that you can manage expectations amongst internal clients whilst driving the application of HR policies and processes. Work with line managers and the Senior HRBP to support their people strategies. As such, you must be able to engage and influence the business leaders and achieve excellence in supporting the day to day operations of the business, and also on specific projects.
