The role is critical in ensuring continuity of care within the Cover Team - a team of 20+ Support Workers. You will be handling shift allocations, responding to last-minute cover requests, and maintaining compliance with workforce regulations. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with the Cover Team Manager, Operations Director, Field Management Team, HR, and Support Workers to ensure smooth service delivery while balancing operational demands and staff well-being.
Please note, this role is 100% office based Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
As an essential member of our Operations Team, you will:
* Communicate shifts with all cover staff
* Work closely with the Cover Team Manager
* Communicate with Team Managers to brief cover staff and pass on contact details
* Monitor and update all team rota’s with cover staff
* Forecast cover for leave and training
* Liaise with the Training Manager for training cover
* Every Friday, inform “On Call” Management of cover staff over the weekend
* Support Team Managers with rota completion
* Facilitate the set up and closing of Services
* Deliver team vehicles to the garage for timely repairs, maintenance and MOT compliance·
Requirements
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
* Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in dealing with last-minute rota changes
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with Support Workers, management, and external Stakeholders
* High attention to detail when maintaining and updating rotas to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
* Ability to use rostering software and databases efficiently (experience with workforce management systems is a plus)
* Full, clean manual UK driving license
* Excellent working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets and SharePoint
* A minimum of 2-3 years experience working within a similar role
