BeiGene USA, Inc. seeks Director of Digital Communications and Reputation in Cambridge, MA:
Job Duties: The Director of Digital Communications and Reputation will contribute to the development and execution of BeiGene’s communications and engagement strategies, with a focus on the company’s external digital strategy and content on the corporate channels and website to advance our corporate brand and global story. The incumbent will identify priorities, tactics, and strategies that build on communication to date, anticipating and looking ahead to business-critical goals in the future. The Director will collaborate with colleagues from the Communications and Corporate Affairs teams, as well as across the business to identify priorities, strategies, tactics, and content to support engagement. This role will manage partnerships with external agencies and will report to the Executive Director, Corporate Communications.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Serve as the communications lead for critical reputation projects, in conjunction with colleagues across BeiGene as well as external partner organizations to ensure coordination around messaging, announcements, and other communications initiatives.
* Manage editorial strategy for corporate digital channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and WeChat), including curating content, maintaining content calendar, managing reviews, scheduling, distribution, and performance measurement across platforms and channels.
* Develop and maintain brand guidelines for digital channels and best practices to be socialized internally.
* Monitor and optimize performance on an ongoing basis for both organic and paid content.
* Work closely with Corporate/Media Relations, Product, Pipeline, ESG, and Internal Communications colleagues to leverage content opportunities consistent with our strategy and narrative.
* Liaise on upcoming milestones (e.g., awareness days, data and regulatory milestones, earnings, company events, awards) and ensure dynamic content is pulled through on corporate channels.
* Lead production of written materials, videos, presentations, imagery, and other assets for a range of audiences and channels, both internal and external.
* Work closely with the Corporate Communications team, while ensuring coordination with global corporate affairs colleagues.
* Continually assess metrics and impact of communications to inform future channels and content formats.
Telecommuting is an option. 10% domestic travel is required.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or closely related field and 5 years of progressively responsible experience as Communications director, communications associate, or a closely related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
* Employer requires a candidate to have at least five years of progressively more responsible work experience as communications director, communications associate, or a closely related occupation in global oncology or life science setting developing external digital content and storytelling in pharmaceutical industry for more than one regional market, including APAC region.
* Demonstrated ability developing integrated communication programs for global oncology or life science companies, including external and internal materials, digital activation (organic and paid content), graphic design, website content and maintenance gained through five years of work experience.
* Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific content into lay/consumer-focused content and tailor based on communications channel gained through five years of work experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory environment across markets, including understanding sensitive nature of information and what can and cannot be shared externally from legal and compliance perspectives gained through five years of work experience.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and execute external partner communication strategies with broad group of biopharma-related partners such as international patient access NGOs gained through five years of work experience.
* Demonstrated ability developing and issuing corporate announcements on global newswires, including China newswires, gained through five years of work experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing gained through five years of work experience. All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
Please disregard the below wage - the selected candidate will earn a wage of $212,500.00 - $240,200.00 per annum.
