Team Leader will work collaboratively with the Service Integration Manager and provide clinical leadership and first line management for their respective team across several bases linked to a designated Children’s Trust Partnership locality/localities (CCG’s).
To have continuing responsibility for the delivery of high quality service provision by the CAMHS/LD team to ensure delivery of an integrated, responsive and person centred service. To develop and maintain robust partnership working arrangements between the CAMHS or LD/CN teams and community partners and other key stakeholders. To ensure that staff in the CAMHS team have opportunities for continuing professional development, in order to provide evidence based practice, and to drive improvements in standards of practice in line with the NHS modernisation and Public Health agendas.
To lead the implementation of the safeguarding agenda within the CAMHS Team in partnership with the Lancashire and South Cumbria Care safeguarding team. To actively lead in the delivery of the clinical governance, modernisation, quality improvement and performance management agenda within the Team. To manage a reduced clinical caseload and provide direct clinical interventions/assessments that are high quality, timely and accessible.
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists who have experience of working with young people experiencing mental health issues.
* Provide day to day management and leadership within an integrated specified CYPMH geographical team; co-ordinating the day to day running of a designated sector team with staff working in CYPMH services.
* Provide caseload and case specific clinical supervision and assist with the development and maintenance of PDRs for a team of mental health professionals. Provision of casework/clinical interventions for a caseload of children and young people who have defined complex and mental health needs.
* Act as specialist advisor within the service and to actively contribute to the Network governance arrangements when required, providing input into specialist projects as required within the network.
* Ensure that the standard of performance and clinical practice are of the highest quality to ensure good quality outcomes for children, young people and their families/carers.
* Ensure that with others, arrangements are in place to contribute to the effective clinical and professional supervision of all staff in the team, including professional appraisal and the identification of CPD needs across the team.
* Contribute to policy implementation and policy or service development, both within the service and the wider Network.
* Keep up to date with CYPMH research and clinical developments and utilise this knowledge in interpreting NHS policy and local priorities in order to promote evidence based practice across team and service.
