To support this collaboration you will be part of a new team providing high quality advice on strategic priorities and policy proposals to the Leaders and Executives of both Councils. Together with the new Joint Executive Advisor and Corporate Support Manager role you will work closely with the Joint Leadership and Corporate Policy and Strategy teams, advising on key developments across central and local government, developing briefing materials and working together to coordinate delivery of the strategic priorities of the Executives of both councils. A big part of your role will be to undertake research to help shape the development of policy to support the strategic priorities of both councils and in collaboration with other Council officers, proactively develop briefing notes, speeches and speaking notes for members of the Executive when required. To succeed in this role you will have excellent communication skills and experience of developing research, policy proposals and projects and you will have the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with a range of council officers and elected members. This is an exciting time to join us and make a difference across both councils. This post is a full-time role, however all applications will be considered.
