SEMH TA / Social Emotional Mental Health Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in North Devon. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
The Role:
* Supporting students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well-being
* Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a supportive environment
* Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
* Building strong, trusting relationships with students
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (preferred)
* A compassionate and proactive approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
