Head of Pre-Prep
Required September 2025
Aysgarth School is looking for an outstanding leader to take on the role of Head of Pre-Prep. This is a great opportunity for an imaginative practitioner to lead Aysgarth pupils from Nursery to Year 3. The right candidate will understand and value the importance of the early years in a child’s life and will embrace our values of respect, endeavour and courage. The Head of Pre-Prep will be part of the Aysgarth Senior Management Team and will be responsible on a daily basis for creating the best possible learning environment for Pre-Prep pupils. Safeguarding, teaching, assessment, curriculum development and pastoral care will all be central to this role as well as communications with parents, the Headmaster and Governors.
The Head of Pre-Prep will be responsible for a passionate, enthusiastic and capable staff team. Pre-Prep pupils develop into confident, happy, inquisitive learners through lessons and activities that take place indoors and outdoors with great emphasis placed on each individual child. As children move through the prep they begin to adapt to a more formal classroom setting and structured lessons, continuing to acquire knowledge understanding and skills whilst becoming increasingly independent learners.
