About the Role:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced residential conveyancing lawyer to join their Residential Conveyancing Team in the Swindon office. This is a fee-earning role that requires managing a mixed caseload of residential property transactions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle a mixed caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, freehold, leasehold, and re-mortgages.
2. Manage a small team of support staff, delegating work appropriately.
3. Maintain a high level of client service consistently.
4. Grow a network of contacts and clients to generate new referrals.
5. Assist partners in evolving the business development strategy for the residential conveyancing team.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Qualified solicitor or professional equivalent (approximately 3+ PQE).
2. Detailed knowledge and technical expertise in managing a mixed residential property caseload.
3. Experience in building and maintaining professional and client relationships.
4. Proven experience in generating a personal client base.
5. Experience in managing and working with support staff.
6. Strong billing and financial management skills.
7. Up-to-date understanding and commitment to risk management and compliance.
8. Competency with IT applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and experience with case management systems.
