About the Role
Harry at Amber Mace is working with an established client that provide the highest quality of care to Learning Disability and Mental Health service users, on a national scale. We are working with them to recruit a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage a Supported Living Service in Rochester, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of care and support for individuals with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the service, leading a team of support staff to deliver person-centred care while ensuring compliance with CQC regulations. You will also play a key role in the growth and development of the service, ensuring high standards of support, staff development, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Operations: Provide strong leadership across administration, care, housekeeping, catering, and maintenance. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with regulations.
* Quality & Compliance: Maintain service standards in line with CQC requirements, industry best practices, and organisational policies. Notify CQC of any required changes.
* People Management: Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring the right team is in place to meet service user needs. Manage rotas effectively while maintaining budget constraints.
* Service Development: Drive marketing and business development initiatives to promote the service. Ensure financial sustainability by managing budgets and resources effectively.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement innovative care strategies, promote health initiatives, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager or in a similar leadership role within a Supported Living or residential care setting.
* Strong background in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities services.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, grow, and maintain reliable teams.
* Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices in social care.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent).
