Job Opportunity: Associate Partner / Partner Level Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Surveyor at Associate Partner / Partner level based in our Bristol office. You will provide property services including temporary access, acquisition, CPO, compensation, and valuation advice to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects including Rail, Road, Energy, and Transport. Your role will involve leading, developing, and delivering strategic and tactical advice to clients in the infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in delivering major infrastructure projects for national bodies and corporate investors.
2. Prepare valuation reports following client instructions and RICS standards.
3. Develop new business and relationship opportunities, driving initiatives locally.
4. Negotiate options and leases, conduct valuations, and handle professional negotiations.
5. Perform feasibility studies and development appraisals.
6. Manage site brokerage ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
7. Negotiate disturbance claims and secure consents for access across third-party land.
8. Guide and manage team activities within the area.
9. Provide advice on statutory and sectorial process changes.
10. Manage lease events, asset acquisitions, and disposals.
11. Identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and implement policies for efficiency.
12. Lead opportunities from due diligence to project management of capital works.
13. Work effectively within team structures across different locations.
14. Contribute to the development of internal systems and processes for efficiency.
15. Ensure legal compliance and implement policies accordingly.
16. Manage and mentor surveyors and junior team members.
Candidate Profile
To succeed, you should be RICS qualified and a registered valuer with extensive PQE in infrastructure surveying, with a business development focus and excellent customer service skills. Experience in compulsory purchase is desirable but not essential, as training is available. Rural surveying experience could be beneficial. You should have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude towards career development.
Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and approachability are essential, given the role's engagement with clients, landowners, and agents. Flexibility, adaptability, and a full driving license are required due to the travel involved.
