About the Role:
We are looking for a Lecturer in Maths to join us at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
Relevant degree and/or level 5 qualification in Mathematics
Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument (or willingness to achieve)
English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
Recent experience of teaching and assessing GCSE Mathematics courses.
Experience of using ILT to enhance teaching and learning
Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
