Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant or a pastoral support professional, looking for a new challenge? Linwood School is seeking a Regulation & Engagement Worker to join our dynamic PACE Team.
We are on a journey to revolutionise our approach to regulation and engagement (formerly behaviour management/support). At the heart of our practice is trauma-informed care, recognising that behaviour is communication. Our PACE Team (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) plays a vital role in creating and delivering high-quality interventions to support students in maintaining regulation throughout the school day.
About the role
This is a permanent contract for 32.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday), term time and INSET days (39 weeks per year).
Locations: Various campuses including Winton, West Howe, Poole and Christchurch.
As a Regulation & Engagement Worker, you will:
1. Support and model in-class strategies to help students maintain regulation.
2. Develop intuitive support plans and personalised learning approaches.
3. Lead and facilitate Nurture Groups to help students re-engage with learning.
4. Accurately record and report regulation and engagement incidents.
5. Work collaboratively to design and implement Personalised Regulation & Engagement Plans alongside class teams.
