We are currently seeking a Communications Officer to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 21 hours per week.

The Role
As a Communications Officer, you will support the delivery of our communication strategies that ensure impactful and consistent messaging across all platforms.
Focusing on raising awareness of our work, you will maintain media relationships and support internal communication initiatives, with a blend of content creation, advocacy and digital engagement.
You will develop compelling stories, case studies and blogs to showcase our impact, manage social media platforms to increase engagement and update our website with accurate and user-friendly content.
Playing a key part in advocacy efforts, you will prepare press materials, maintain relationships with journalists and support leadership in stakeholder engagements to amplify our voice and mission.
Additionally, you will:
- Produce supporter and alumni updates, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Maintain brand consistency across all external communications
- Collaborate with programme teams and external providers to create multimedia content
- Monitor sector trends to refine messaging and maintain relevance
- Educate staff on best practices for impactful communication
About You
To be considered as a Communications Officer, you will need:
- Experience in a communications or marketing role
- A proven track record of managing social media platforms and content creation
- Experience writing for diverse audiences across various media
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Affinity Suite or similar design tools
- A degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field
Please note, this role involves regular travel to project sites and events, including our overseas operations.
