About the Role
As EMEA Columnist for Reuters Breakingviews you will:
1. Research and write punchy and original views on deals, companies and financial markets that set the agenda for our global audience.
2. Develop and maintain contacts with senior executives, financiers, and policymakers.
3. Combine quick, authoritative takes on breaking news with original and deeply researched columns on the biggest topics.
4. Project your ideas in a variety of ways, including through eye-catching graphics, Breakingviews podcasts, videos, and participating in live events.
5. Work with our global team of columnists and editors to explore topical ideas and illuminate cross-border themes.
About You
As EMEA Columnist for Reuters Breakingviews you are likely to have:
6. A firm understanding of how companies and financial markets work, and a grasp of the basic concepts of corporate finance.
7. The ability to formulate strong, well-argued opinions under tight deadlines.
8. A base of high-level contacts among corporate executives, bankers, investors and policymakers, and a talent for developing sources.
9. Experience of presenting your views to a sophisticated financial audience.
10. The highest standards of accuracy, editorial integrity, and professionalism.
