Overview
Compass Associates is excited to be collaborating with one of the UK’s largest specialist providers of home-care services for people with complex needs. They are rated “Good” by the CQC and are reputed for their bespoke nurse-managed care, given to both adults and children and covering those (but not limited to) Spinal and Brain Injury, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Huntington’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Respiratory conditions, Epilepsy, and Cerebral Palsy.
Together we are seeking an experienced Children’s Nurse to join their team as a Clinical Nurse Lead (Regional). The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of complex care clients, liaise with the multidisciplinary team and provide mentorship for the care teams, mainly signing off competencies for tracheostomies, PEG feeds and ventilator management.
Work Pattern
Monday to Friday, flexible working times and outcomes focused – managing your own diary. The role requires hybrid working, with time spent working from home and the field. A typical working week looks like 3-4 days working out in the field and the rest working remotely from home.
Location
The role is remote with travel across the regional remit of Hereford and Worcester regions.
Criteria
1. RGN Registered General Nurse or RCN – Registered Children’s Nurse trained
2. Experience of working within a Complex / Critical care setting is essential, such as PICU, ITU, CCU, HDU, A&E, Anaesthesia, and Theatre
3. Training in tracheostomy, ventilator management and PEG feeds highly desirable
4. Excellent personal organisation and communication skills
5. Passionate in promoting independence for those needing care from long term conditions
6. Must possess a clean UK driving licence with own car and happy with the travel needed
7. Clear DBS
Interview Process
This will be a two-stage process, with the 1st stage being a MS Teams informal conversation with the Talent Team or a Senior Clinician and another member of the SMT. The 2nd stage will be competency-based with the Head of Clinical Services.
Salary and Benefits
The Clinical Nurse Lead (Regional) role pays up to £50,000 + mileage (45p per mile), depending on experience and qualifications, and includes an industry-leading benefit package:
