Clinical Informatics Analyst

Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our team based in Eastleigh and Sheffield.
A bit about the job:
You’ll develop, maintain, and embed the processes and systems that ensure that clinical knowledge created within the clinical team is stored, shared, and managed within Aviva’s risk appetite. Where you’ll be providing clinical expertise and insight to modernisation and change initiatives, with a specific focus on clinical coding.
Analysing claims trends alongside senior clinical team to identify opportunities to enhance Aviva’s value proposition and delivery of value-based healthcare and using clinical informatics knowledge to ensure consistency in quality assurance and risk management.
1. Responsible for designing, maintaining, and updating clinical operations processes.
2. Subject matter expert for clinical coding, clinical informatics and supporting Aviva Health’s digitisation journey.
3. Responsible for delivering continuous improvement in clinical decision-making capability across all PMI Claims teams through claims education and evaluation of processes.
4. Conduct analyses and supply information to support the business, inform the business of claims/clinical trends, using professional skills and knowledge to develop and recommend appropriate solutions.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
5. Mandatory requirement to hold & maintain relevant clinical professional qualification & registration.
6. Ability to Identify areas of risk exposure and eliminate risk through working with the clinical team and IT and change functions to identify and support resolution to potential and actual issues.
7. Strong communication e.g. reports, verbal, presentations Ability to communicate complex clinical matters to non-clinical people.
8. Broad knowledge of private health insurance and NHS market and direction of current clinical trends

9. Salary Circa £30,000 (location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
10. Bonus opportunity of 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s)
