PMLD HLTA – Urmston (M41)
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting opportunity to work within a Primary SEN Provision in Urmston? Our client school is seeking a dedicated HLTA to provide day-to-day support within a Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) class.
Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support for pupils within a PMLD class, catering to their individual abilities and needs.
* Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and sensory programmes to support the development and progress of pupils.
* Support pupils with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, as required.
* Lead small-group activities and interventions to reinforce learning objectives and promote engagement.
* Provide PPA cover for the class teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within a SEN setting, particularly with PMLD pupils, is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of PMLD and strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of pupils.
* Registration required through Teaching Personnel before an immediate start.
