Purpose of Job
* Support the design, development and maintenance of the client analytics database to be used in EMEA by all Departments for Client Strategy & planning purposes, and those client analytics to also be used in the capital allocation decision making process.
* Support data analysis and interpretation to all Departments to highlight revenue opportunities or KPIs at both a client and portfolio level.
* Assist management information reports/presentations to ensure that superiors have the relevant information needed to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Background
* Support and shape delivery of client reporting capability across EMEA with a focus on delivering insight and analytics at both a client and portfolio level.
* The role requires interaction and collaboration with global Portfolio Strategy teams based in all regions.
* Role support technical bridge between Front Office and the bank reporting systems and contributes a blend of business and accounting knowledge as well as a strong understanding of system data flows, data structures and other analytical skills.
* Support the Front Office by producing regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Facts / Scale
* The role is responsible for the oversight of a large volume of data and highly complex return methodologies.
* The role has a primary focus on supporting the wider Portfolio Strategy team alongside the Front Office.
* This role requires understanding of all the core systems and processes within own area, and how they link with other systems within the Bank.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Produce regular client & portfolio reports, in addition to ad-hoc reports.
* Ensure data quality and data governance is applied to client metrics and assist other departments responsible for data and systems used by the Portfolio Strategy team.
* Ensure core deliverables are produced on time and to spec by monitoring development progress, providing guidance and technical oversight and in preparing, executing, and signing off UAT.
* Support coordination between processes in EMEA and those in place in other Portfolio Strategy teams across the globe, sharing best practice.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Strong numerical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial information and able to design and use financial models.
* Strong technical skills in data extraction and analysis techniques including AI, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Wallet Data (Dealogic, Coalition), SQL, MS Access and MS Excel.
* Good communication skills.
* Familiarity with IFRS and JGAAP reporting standards and management accounting experience is advantageous.
* Relevant technical degree-level education with a preference toward accounting / financial and / or mathematical or Data science disciplines;
