Company Overview: Cross Street Garage is a family-run business and a part of the Cross Street Group. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our team and manage our financial department with accuracy and efficiency.
Position Overview: As an Accounts Manager at Cross Street, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage junior members of staff where appropriate.
* Record financial transactions into the accounting software accurately and in a timely manner.
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Reconcile Point of Sale Departments till reconciliations daily.
* Reconcile bank statements daily with system cash book to ensure accuracy.
* Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
* Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours worked, preparing pay slips, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
* Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring that all expenses are properly categorized and recorded.
* Assist with audits by providing accurate and organized financial records and documentation as needed.
* Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
* Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or a financial qualification preferred.
* Proven experience as a hands-on accounts manager.
* Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Automotive based) and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
* Experience of working in a Retail Automotive Dealer a distinct advantage.
* Experience with payroll processing is an advantage.
