We are recruiting now for General Shift Maintenance Operative to join the team located in one our largest financial clients new flagship 52,000m2 UK headquarters in central London. CBRE manages the maintenance of our clients property portfolio and is committed to the provision of an efficient and effective engineering maintenance function which is deemed critical to the operations and the maintenance of 99.995% uptime. The successful candidate will be working with skilled shift members on an array of different tasks on a continental shift pattern.The General Shift Maintenance Operative will be responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of property structures and facility equipment using a variety of power tools and hand tools. You will undertake general and preventive maintenance operations that the facility requires as part of the maintenance program which are to be performed on a timely basis. An ability to respond to work orders, troubleshoot, repair, replace, or install various vital systems will be taught to the engineer. These include plumbing systems, alarm systems, and electrical equipment. The new headquarters features best in class smart building technologies, a BIM (Building Information Model) platform, a client concierge system, with all systems integrated together to create a rich data environment and allow improved efficiencies in operation. Key Tasks: Undertaking training and building/system familiarisation as part of the projects Soft Landings activities Practice good Health and Safety in the workplace Maintaining systems and assets in a data driven environment, using new digital tools and platforms (training will be provided). Must be flexible and embrace new and emerging technology and techniques Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building, its layout, functions and complexities through developed practices through scenario drills, continuous assessments, staff training and personal development. Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works. Carrying out in house training where required. Supporting and projecting ideas/initiatives that may contribute to the service delivery aspect of the contract and service levels. Maintain records of maintenance activities as required. Assist Engineers to investigate faults, identify root causes of faults and prepare accurate/timely reports on plant and equipment failures. Undertake other tasks, as required by the Engineering Manager/Shift Leader. Looking out for smarter, more efficient ways of working seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and process. Raise and close jobs on PDAs as necessary. Positive contribution to the team effort and the raising of the standard. Endorse day to day and future compliance to safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods. Prepare accurate/timely reports as required. Investigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies. Escorting contractors and suppliers when working under permits Cleaning of plantrooms.
