We are looking for a cafe assistant to join our team in Gateshead depot. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity offering a great range of benefits and weekday shifts.

As a cafe assistant, you will report to the cafe manager and assist with the preparation and sale of food and beverages and be expected to maintain a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness of the cafe and facilities.
The main responsibilities of this cafe assistant role include but are not limited to:
* Welcoming customers to the cafe.
* Preparing and serving hot food and beverages.
* Taking payments for goods.
* Assisting with inventory and ordering goods if required.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
* Upholding a high level of customer service.
* Ensuring that health and safety rules are adhered to and any issues are reported.

This role offers 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm and Friday 8am to 4pm.

To carry out this role, we are looking for a candidate with:
* Previous experience working in the food preparation and service industry.
* A valid hygiene certificate.
* A friendly persona who is enthusiastic about working in a busy cafe environment.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work additional hours to cover holidays throughout the year.
