The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, passionate about building high-quality software products and committed to pushing the boundaries of technology.Our Purpose. is part of the Holiday Extras group. We are the leading omni-channel reservation solution for airports, car parks and more. Our Chauntry team are on a mission to build excellent partnerships with our customers, deliver exceptional service and help them increase their revenues by delivering features and functionality to enrich their pre-booking product that is used for parking, fast track, lounges, hotels and integrates with various third party systems.The RoleBy joining our team you’ll:
* Develop new user-facing features for our Parkspace product
* Build and consume RESTful services and APIs
* Build reusable code and libraries for future use
* Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability
* Work in a collaborative team with other developers, project managers, graphic designers testers and stakeholders
* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
* Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency
* Ensures all designs and code adhere to the latest security standards and best practices to maintain security integrity
What you can bring to our team:
* Professional software development experience in a commercial setting
* Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
* Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core
* Experience with ASP.NET web frameworks (MVC, Blazor, Razor)
* Extensive experience with SQL, preferably MySQL / MariaDB
* Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
* Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
* Familiarity with IIS and its configuration
* Demonstrated experience in developing RESTful applications
* Experience of writing Front End code to be cross-browser, cross-device friendly
* A focus on Responsive/Adaptive/RESS UI development and where each is most appropriate is crucial
* Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN
* Knowledge of Unit Testing (for example nUnit/xUnit), an advantage but not essential
* Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure, specifically Azure, an advantage but not essential
