Gas safety is a key priority for our service. Our engineers play a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, meet the decent home standard, and are as energy efficient as possible.
We manage over 5,100 council properties, with over 4,500 connected to the gas network. Our highly skilled team replace old boilers and heating systems with the very best boilers on the market.
Are you passionate about gas safety in residents’ homes?
You will play a vital role delivering high-quality installations, keeping gas safety at the forefront of any works undertaken. You will be working within a team of tradespeople consisting of plumbers, electricians and multi-trade operatives to upgrade boilers and heating systems that are due replacement. This role, from time to time, will also involve servicing and breakdown repair during peak seasons.
Are you looking to expand your knowledge in Greener Energy products?
We are introducing new low carbon technologies to achieve net zero carbon emissions across our housing stock. This target means we are re-training our work force to deliver and install modern cleaner and greener energy products like Air Source Heat Pumps into our properties. We see this approach as a priority for increasing the energy performance of our properties and investing in our workforce. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in servicing and installing these new technologies.
About you
The successful candidate will have completed an appropriate level of training with a minimal of 5 year's industry experience in domestic boiler installation, servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs and be highly skilled and experienced in all aspects of the gas trade. The successful candidate will have undertaken their Gas Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) with all the following qualifications:
CCN1 (including CPA1) - Core Gas Safety
CENWAT1 – Central Heating Boilers
CKR1 – Cookers
HTR1 – Fires
