An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 3 Inspectors to join our Roads department on a permanent basis.

Position Details
You will monitor and inspect roadworks undertaken by internal and external contractors, public utilities and developers, investigate and report on public liability claims, assess road defects and issue repair instructions.
You will enjoy a challenge, be enthusiastic to new ways of working and complete work to ensure targets are met.
Good communication/interpersonal skills, IT skills and a current driving licence are essential.
Previous experience in roads and traffic operations, a HAUC certificate and City & Guilds/ONC/HNC/HND/SVQ or equivalent qualification are desirable.

Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 35 hours
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, though the role will involve some weekend working for which an additional non-core payment will be made
Annual Salary: £29,.95 - £33,.88 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £.
