We have a brand new opportunity for a savvy and commercially driven Meetings and Events Conversion Manager to join a stunning and prestigious country house hotel based outside of Milton KeynesJoining their Meeting & Events team, you’ll be responsible for delivering and exceeding revenue objectives, maximise conversion to achieve the MICE budget and regular analysis of the business. Supporting the department with large MICE enquiries, and ensuring all new enquiries are actioned, and fully qualified. Support on qualifying and following up on key pieces of business.Benefits: Attractive bonus schemeStaff, friends and family ratesDiscounted food, beverage, spa, hotel and membershipTraining and developmentLife AssuranceWellbeing & retail discount platformsFree car parkingFree meals on dutyLong service awardsUniformKey Responsibilities:Practice efficient and effective yield management in line with guidelines and maximise each and every sales opportunity, upselling as frequently as possibleEnsure effective diary management, ensure that all rates quoted are in line with the hotel sell strategy and control option business to maintain a clean diary and optimise conversion levelsWork closely with the proactive team on passing on any leads of potential new clients once qualified, building relationships with existing clients to seek further opportunitiesAnalyse refused business and regular rebook calls on all confirmed/lost businessCarry out regular competitor calls to analyse pricing and availability trends in order to support in setting out strategyUnderstand the competitive market place and suggest strategy to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the marketplaceEnsure a full understanding of the sales budget for the year in order to drive business forward and deliver this strategy to new and existing clients to meet annual revenue targetsWhat do you need to qualify for this role?Minimum 2 years experience in meeting & events background in a conference and events focused hotelIdeal candidate would be someone in meeting & events team looking to progress into proactive role and progression in their careerStrong commercial mind and proactive attitudeThe ability to multitask and prioritise your own workloadStrong negotiation skillsExcellent relationship building skillsAre you an Meeting & Events professional looking to take your career to new heights and make an impact in the world of luxury hospitality, we want to hear from you…
