About the role:
As the Corporate Tax Analyst specializing in tax compliance and reporting throughout the EMEA region, you will work within the Global Tax Team supporting the Global Tax Manager – EMEA.
You will focus on ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA and supporting the EMEA input to the Group Reporting process.
You will report to Anna Baker-Global Tax Manager - EMEA and be located at our Springfields Fuels facility near Preston. Role is hybrid work model; however, during the training period, you will be required to visit our office frequently to ensure you receive the best possible onboarding experience and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help prepare quarterly US GAAP and year-end income tax provision calculations and related documentation.
* Support with responses to tax notices and defense during tax audits in EMEA.
* Support with requests and communications from external tax advisors during compliance processes.
* Monitor, prepare, and submit several withholding tax reporting forms for the EMEA region.
* Manage the monthly cash tax flow forecasting.
* Prepare CIT payment calculations for the EMEA region.
* Support with tax governance requirements to ensure compliance in EMEA.
* Download and evaluate data from SAP and other sources for tax reporting and compliance purposes.
* Perform technical research with the opportunity to develop writing skills by preparing memoranda and internal communication regarding tax positions.
* Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations and their application to Westinghouse.
* Help implement best practices, processes, and technology improvements.
* Manage budget tracking and processing of advisor fees for EMEA cost centers.
* Help mentor interns within Global Tax.
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of corporate income tax experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or multinational company required.
* Professional Certifications: ACA/CTA or equivalent.
* Experience preparing corporate income tax filings and tax audits.
* Knowledgeable on accounting for income taxes and accounting in general.
* Excel skills, proficient in other Microsoft Office programs.
* Experience with SAP and OneSource Tax Provision.
* Excellent teaming and communication skills, both written and verbal, to concisely communicate with Global Tax Managers and Directors.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
* Flexible and able to function in a complex global environment.
