Your New Role
As a project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific jobs you are working on.
1. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards, policies, and procedures.
2. Manage multiple projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget.
3. Manage all financial aspects of projects.
4. Produce POs and order plant and all other items relating to the projects you manage.
5. Ensure all extra works/variations are costed and invoiced.
6. Provide cost value reconciliation for projects/contracts.
7. Ensure all sub-contracts are approved in line with the company policies.
8. Ensure project meets all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H. etc.
9. Assist in costing schemes for quotation as required.
10. Identify and inform Directors/Senior Managers of commercial opportunities as appropriate.
11. Review and monitor programme schedule using Project Management tools.
12. Work in accordance with project programs to ensure dates and milestones are achieved to ensure projects are completed on time, first time.
Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience
1. Experienced as a Project Manager with a proven track record within the ICP/DNO sector.
2. ICP experience at 11kV is essential & 33kV is desirable, but not essential.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills/Experience
1. Technical status and a qualified electrical engineer would be desirable, but not essential.
2. A Manager who remains calm under pressure, can communicate with internal and external parties.
3. Good time management and an ability to plan ahead.
4. An individual who will pursue high standards, recognise improvement opportunities and learn from experience.
5. An individual that takes personal pride in making improvements.
6. An individual who is aware of the operational needs of the client, whilst taking account of the commercial implications.
7. A customer-focused individual who is a team player and self-motivated.
