The Home
Bohill Bungalows is located just outside Coleraine in a rural location and provides the care and rehabilitation required for such specialist care provisions. Bohill Bungalows are a leading provider of a highly specialised service, providing care for residents with traumatic brain injuries, acquired brain injuries, neuro-degenerative conditions, learning disabilities and complex epilepsy. Bohill Bungalows was built in 2012 and we have 3 purpose-built 6-bedroom bungalows, one which is for ABI and 2 for Learning Disability clients. We work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the residents needs are met in a home setting.
The Role
This role is 15hrs over 2 days. At Healthcare Ireland we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing engaging activities and wellbeing initiatives that promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. The role of Activity Co-Ordinator works closely with the Activity Lead on providing a schedule of engaging pursuits that create a supportive environment where residents can thrive.
The Activity Co-Ordinator will contribute to the planning, organising and facilitation of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in our Homes. The Activity Co-Ordinator will work closely with the care team, families, resident and external partners to develop and implement a wide range of activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities
* Assist the Activity Lead in preparing, planning and delivering group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting resident response.
* Engage with residents in one-on-one or group activities, such as games, crafts, music, exercise, outings and social events based on their interest and preferences.
* Assist with the setting up and organising of activity areas, including gathering supplies, arranging furniture and displaying materials.
* Ensure the effective, timely and accurate updating of records, case files and computerised information systems.
* Stay informed about best practices and trends in wellbeing and activities for residents.
* Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Lead.

Desired Criteria
* At least 2 years’ experience working in a regulated care or support environment
Required Criteria
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of written and verbal English
* Well-developed communication, observational and active listening skills.
* Experience in related field
* The Right to Work in the UK
