Sales Account Manager – Laboratory Equipment and Consumables
Area England excluding London and the home counties.

R & L Slaughter Ltd. is the long established, leading independent supplier of scientific products to the market place in the United Kingdom. The Company has shown strong growth and is planning to increase market penetration.
The business is built on excellent customer service combined with a strong group of supplier partners and a good understanding of the needs in the market place.
The product portfolio includes general laboratory consumables, instrumentation and chemicals from many of the key scientific manufacturers.
The Role
As an office based Sales Account Manager you will be increasing the sales in the area by managing existing accounts and finding new business opportunities. You will be offering a broad range of products from well-known laboratory manufacturers in the market.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a sales team that is focused on developing the business within England.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Account Manager include:-
• Maintain and grow customer sales via, telephone, email and direct contact.
• Increase sales from a wide and diverse range of clients including hospital labs
• Identify potential new customers and markets
• Sourcing products to meet customer requirements
• Maintain good record management
• Keep up to date with current trends in the marketplace
The candidate will ideally have
• A general laboratory background particularly in life science techniques.
• Laboratory sales experience would be favourable.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship development skills.
• Tele-marketing experience.
