Job summary Ward Sister / Charge Nurse - Respiratory Band 6 37.5 Hours per week The post holder will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the ward/department in the absence of the ward/ department manager and deputy, who holds continuing responsibility. Key responsibilities will include the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, effective leadership and staff management/development. The post holder will always work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct. Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has become available for a band 6 nurse within the respiratory care group, on ward 22 The successful post holder will support the ward manager in the day to day operational management that is instrumental in coordinating patient care and flow to the hospital. The post requires excellent leadership skills, extensive knowledge of all respiratory enhanced care. You will be experienced within all areas of respiratory medicine and will hold a relevant mentorship qualification. Ward 22 is a 36 bedded respiratory ward. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team, providing leadership and high-quality nursing care within respiratory medicine. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong sense of commitment to develop others and work closely within a multi - disciplinary team.
