Job Description Supplier Operations Manager Full time Derby, approximately 80% travel Why Rolls-Royce? This role will work closely with our external supply chain partners to make sure that we are delivering on our customer commitments, and these new opportunities will play a critical role in ensuring that this is done in a sustainable way. What you will be doing: In this role, you will Lead operational performance improvement through the delivery of targeted supplier interventions, you will also: Crisis management – Managing supplier interventions and immediate customer impact mitigations. Risk Mitigation - Coordination and closure of medium to long term risks. Continuous Improvement – Driving continuous improvement and lean interventions in suppliers. Support the development of new capability in the external supply chain. Basic Requirements: Associate degree in business, Engineering, or other discipline and 10 years of experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or other discipline and 8 years of experience OR Master’s degree in business, Engineering, or other discipline and 6 years of experience, OR JD/PhD and 3 years of experience 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree Preferred Requirements: A global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working. Ability to build and influence senior level relationships both internally and externally. Proven delivery of managing change programmes, embedding core standards and new ways of working. Experienced in operations, planning or supply chain management. Programme management skills and experience would be advantageous. Experience in driving continuous improvement and integrated supplier performance across quality, cost and delivery would be advantageous.
