We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Support Engineer to join an electricity generation facility in Loughrea, Co Galway for a 9-month contact. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating maintenance activities, supporting engineers, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Maintenance Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintenance Scheduling: Utilise Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and schedule maintenance work effectively.
2. Outage Planning: Help define work scopes and supervise contractors during planned outages, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
3. Contractor Management: Oversee contractor performance, managing budgets and controlling costs to keep projects on track.
4. Technical Procurement: Collaborate on the procurement of maintenance materials, ensuring specifications meet high standards.
5. Safety and Quality Assurance: Ensure all work carried out by site staff or contractors complies with safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
6. Team Support: Assist fellow maintenance team members wherever necessary to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
What You Bring to the Table:
1. Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling preferably with a mechanical background.
2. Strong understanding of contractor management and budget control.
3. Ability to work with a computerised management system.
