Overview of the role
The Bestway Group is the UK's largest independent wholesaler with wide-ranging business interests from banking and cement companies in Pakistan to retail and wholesale businesses in the UK. The Bestway Group, still a family-owned business, now has a turnover in excess of £2bn per year and in 2014 acquired the UK's 3rd largest pharmacy business. With a real passion for wholesale and the healthcare industry, Bestway Medhub was launched in 2015 and is making a name for itself as a go-to supplier nationwide. To continue this success, we’re looking to appoint new office-based, Account Executives to help drive our sales and increase market share by supplying a range of pharmacy products and appliance services to the independent pharmacy sector.
• The role is based at our Health Care Service Centre (Stoke) 5 days a week. Working hours are, 9-5.30 or 10-6.30PM
Main Responsibilities
1. Through telephone and MS Teams manage an account base of customers through regular calls. Main focus is to maintain and develop spend and to engage the customer to use our offerings to support their community patients.
2. Develop and build our business by high standards of customer service, to ensure an ever-growing and increasingly profitable customer base.
3. Self-motivated and target driven to achieve a high level of sales performance and account management of our customer base across generic, PI and our Surgical offering inc DAC scheme through Wardles.
4. Identify and prioritise prospective new customers, gaining access to key decision makers to secure business.
5. Use MS Teams to share and demonstrate information to back up the selling story and ensure uptake of offerings such as Wardles and Specials.
6. Assist in the development of the wholesale strategy including product range and pricing models to maximise sales and profit for the business.
7. Maintain a database of all customers with contractual details, pricing, service level agreements and appropriate metrics.
8. Use effective channels of communication with sales colleagues and the buying team, so that the use of market intelligence makes our customer proposition grow stronger and more compelling.
9. Maintain operational and system processes and ways of working which are customer-focused, efficient, compliant with policy and legislation and timely.
10. Implement a robust business retention programme to ensure all retention targets are achieved for their designated area.
Key knowledge and skills required:
1. Experience working within account management or telesales function where phone or MS Teams is the main tool for engagement – within the pharmacy sector preferable.
2. A good working knowledge of MS Office/Excel etc.
3. Ability to develop rapport quickly and build lasting professional relationships.
4. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, competitive nature with the ability to work autonomously.
5. The ability to deliver a complex proposition to customers.
6. Can maintain a database of call interactions and work from a scripted base to deliver key drivers whilst also building a more natural rapport.
