FurnessCommunity Mental Health Team (CMHT) are looking to recruit a qualified Band 6Mental Health Practitioner. The applicant would need to beregistered with a professional regulating body.This is apermanent37.5hourcontract.
The team serves the population of Furnesswithinthe Lake District and has its base in Barrow in Furness. It is an established team with a friendly and supportive culture. There is a visible and supportive leadership team who are committed to clinical supervision and professional development.
This is a demanding role in a busy service. Ideally, youwillhavecurrent orpreviousexperience of working within a mental health setting. Clinically confident in working with individuals with complex needsand be able to work effectively in a multi professional context. You should have a collaborative and enthusiastic approach as well as passion and commitment in developing and promotingrecovery basedapproaches for adults withsevere and enduring mental healthneeds.
The post requires that you are a good communicator, and are able to adopt a flexible, adaptable and proactive approach to your work.
The main job role is to perform duties as aKeyworkerand to undertake assessmentsfor people whoare referredintothe service.As aKeyworkeryou will manage a caseload of service userswith a range of complex needs.You will develop careplans and deliverevidence basedinterventions and treatments to patients alongside managing risks in the community.
Part of your role will require you to undertake the role of team duty worker.This roleinvolvesmanaging unplanned patient work within the team,responding to escalation of risk/crisis situations and may also include the triaging of new referrals.
There is an expectation that thesuccessful candidate willtake on some leadership activities such as contributing to the learning and development of junior team members taking a lead on/or contributing to projectsidentifiedby the FurnessCMHT leadership team.

The service is based atDuddonHouse,Fairfield Lane,Barrowin Furness.The service is operational between the hours of 9.00am and 5pmhowever someout of hoursand weekendworking may be necessary to meet service demands.
