Job Description:
Here at the Mick George Group we are looking for an Asbestos Supervisor to join the team.
Job Overview:
To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of asbestos management and removal projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Organise asbestos removal works to ensure compliance with relevant legislation/regulations, MGE Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures while maintaining health and safety standards.
2. Ensure that all site labour, plant, and materials are on site and utilised to ensure safe working practices.
3. Understand Method Statement and Risk Assessment prior to works commencing, ensuring all controls are in place and risks communicated to all operatives.
4. Manage all site works in liaison with the Contract Manager, site staff, and client to ensure all works proceed to programme and budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
5. Complete all required site checks, record on appropriate forms, and submit to Contract Manager/Office Manager/Plant Department as required.
6. Undertake monthly mask checks for all operatives on site.
7. Conduct TNA analysis on operatives on a project-by-project basis.
8. Attend 6-weekly Supervisor meetings.
9. Participate in wider objectives of the company.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Demonstrable successful experience of working in a similar role (Qualified Licensed Asbestos Supervisor).
2. Committed to providing first-rate customer service.
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety.
4. IT literate – use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, and the use of remote meeting tools (e.g., Skype).
5. Effective communicator, influencer, and relationship builder.
6. Strong written communication skills to complete all site paperwork to a high standard.
7. Honest and reliable.
8. Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary amidst challenging demands on time.
9. Ability to balance operational needs with best practice.
10. Full Driving Licence with towing ability.
