We are looking for an experienced and motivated health visitor/school nurse with operational and clinical management experience to lead our outstanding newly integrated 0-19 Public health service in Oxfordshire.
You will be responsible for the management, coordination, and clinical leadership of the 0-19 CYP Public Health Service within the north of the county (4 localities) as well providing countywide professional leadership within a set discipline within the service (either health visiting or school nursing).
The ideal candidate will have a strong teamwork ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times. You will be a natural leader and a team player, who is committed to promoting excellent quality of care within a patient-centred service. You will be able to foster strong relationships with clinical colleagues, partner agencies and drive through cultural change within the workforce where staff are empowered and encouraged to work to a continuous improvement model, ensuring good governance and processes for facilitating and agreeing changes.
Working closely with the senior clinical lead, other operational managers, and team leads you will strive to continually improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities, and safeguard children and young people in Oxfordshire through the provision of an evidence-based and needs-led service. You will take a lead role in developing teams and services to ensure there is effective and high-quality delivery of the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 years with an emphasis on integration of the Family Nurse Partnership, health visiting and school college nursing and partnership working with other service leads across the children’s community pathway and other agencies.
The successful candidate will ensure optimum performance in the following key areas:
* service quality
* controls assurance
* clinical practice
* clinical governance
* compliance with all statutory regulations.
This role will be part of the relevant service management team on call rota and may involve working unsocial hours during evenings and at weekends as well as working in hours as service needs dictate to deliver direct clinical care within CYP 0-19 Public Health Service or to attend Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust meetings as required.
