About the role
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Developing sensors for Environmental Pollutants, to work under the supervision of Professor Paul Beer for a period of 6 months.
The project builds on the expertise of the Beer group in the design, synthesis and study of supramolecular host systems for charged and neutral guest recognition and sensing.
About you
Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a related area, or be close to completion prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires expertise in supramolecular host-guest chemistry and synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry.
You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, OX1 3TA and is available immediately.
