The Role: We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide governance support for senior University committees, Project Management Boards, and working groups. As the Strategic Planning and Governance Officer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective governance across the institution. Based within our Strategic Planning Team, you will work closely with colleagues at all levels across the University, including our Senior Leaders, supporting the University with critical planning and resource matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will provide high-quality governance support for senior University level committees and strategic projects. This will include independently preparing agendas, minutes, and reports, ensuring timely, accurate and high-quality information is shared with governance groups.
* You will offer expert advice on governance procedures to senior managers and lay members.
* You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project progress.
To be successful in the role, you will:
* Hold a degree and/or demonstrate equivalent experience.
* Have proven experience in providing governance support for complex committees at an organisational level.
* Have strong communication skills, with the ability to draft detailed reports and minutes and provide feedback on reports from senior managers.
* Manage and prioritise a diverse workload independently.
* Demonstrate a collaborative approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
