About the department
Outsourcing is a key service offered by RSM to its client base, bothin the UK and internationally, driving key relationships on the back oflong-term annuity engagements in its chosen mid-market space. At present acrossRSM, this includes functions such as payroll, transactional processing,bookkeeping and company secretarial duties. RSM’s offering is considered avaluable resource by businesses within the UK who see the cost, time, andresource benefit of outsourcing these functions. It is also a beneficial toolfor international organisations looking to invest into the UK and for moreestablished multi-national corporations looking for a consistent globaloutsourced service. Utilising RSM’s outsourcing services removes the burden ofmanaging a finance function and the associated regulatory requirements.
In order to progress the OTS strategy, a change programme has beenestablished across workstreams to standardise processes, implement an ERPsolution and build a ‘Large Corporate Centre (LCC) in Belfast to provideoutsourced business services to our clients.
Role requirements & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Management Accounting Lead, you will be tasked with completing a range of management accounting activities to support the LCC in providing outstanding customer service to our clients, including but not limited to:
Operational managementaccounting
Prepares management accounting information for review by ManagementAccounting Lead to meet client needs and expectations, adhering to or exceedingdeadlines. Role tasks include, but not limited to:
1. Bank reconciliations, liaising with the transaction processing team as required to resolve queries.
2. Identification of and preparation and posting of general ledger journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, fixed asset journals and all other required GL adjustments.
3. Maintaining fixed assets registers, processing fixed asset events such as additions, disposals, revaluations, depreciation, and reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the general ledger.
4. Intercompany reconciliations.
5. Balance sheet reconciliations.
6. Collation of management accounting packs for review, including lead and supporting schedules.
7. Supporting client external audits by preparing audit files.
8. Understands and adheres to GDPR guidelines when dealing with personal information.
9. Preparation of VAT returns for review by Management Accounting Lead and GCVR team.
10. Ensures effective controls are in place to maintain compliance with RSM Tax and Accounting policies and procedures.

11. Actively looks for opportunities to increase and expand knowledge base through research, on the job training and participation in continuous improvement projects.
12. Actively searches for efficiencies while maintaining strong internal controls and minimizing risk.
13. Identifies changes in client expectations and highlight to line manager.
14. Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of this position.

Qualifications
27. Graduate. Preferably finance background, or equivalent gained through on the job experience.
28. 1-2 years’ experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance related role (preferred but not essential).
29. Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Work and Outlook.
30. NetSuite ERP experience an advantage but not essential.
