Job Description:
The candidate will have a background in Aerospace and Defence, having successfully built and developed this market. The global defence spending is projected to reach record levels, with the industry gearing up to ramp up production rates to unprecedented levels over the near to medium term. The use of advanced technologies, such as the KX real-time AI engine, processing fast big machine data, can provide a competitive edge to our clients in this rapidly growing market.
This is a new business role where experience and results matter and will be well rewarded. The role will work cross-functionally with technical sales, solution teams, consulting, professional services, project management, delivery, support, and corporate marketing to build and deliver revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Achieve and consistently surpass stated revenue goals.
2. Maintain an accurate forecast at all times and build a strong set of opportunities to ensure there is sufficient pipeline to meet sales targets.
3. Use Value Based selling to manage all aspects of a complex sales cycle.
4. Access to an extensive rolodex to extend the KX footprint through thought leadership and a proven track record working at the C suite level.
5. Close new business opportunities presented via the lead generation team.
6. Mine existing accounts for up-selling and cross-selling of new opportunities.
7. Take ownership of the bid process in responding to client RFI/RFPs to optimise sale value and chances of client acceptance while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
8. Report detailed activities to senior management within the company.
9. Engage in project deliveries to achieve high customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely, efficient manner.
10. Facilitate the timely renewal of existing customer contracts for optimal value.
11. Contribute to the software product strategies to enhance product opportunity and marketability.
12. Provide feedback on competitive intel and how changing market landscapes affect KX’s value proposition.
Skills Required:
1. Proven sales track record of consistently overachieving multi-million sales targets in the Aerospace and Defence sector.
2. Self-starter, passionate, and articulate professional.
3. Ability to build relationships with prospects, ensuring leads develop to next steps.
4. Proven ability to articulate the value proposition and differentiators of KX solutions.
5. Experience in presenting and gathering requirements at all levels across an organization.
6. Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
