We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in Farnborough. This is a static, on-site role requiring full-time presence five days a week, so candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance. As the Authorised Person – LV Electrical, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, meeting both statutory and contractual SLAs. You will also oversee the implementation of AWSL Rules and Policies and the issue and control of any required permits. While we can accommodate candidates without AP12 if they have significant experience and the necessary qualifications, C&G 2391 (Test and Inspect) is essential. Security clearance will be required for this role. Key Responsibilities Act as the Authorised Person – LV Electrical for the contract, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with AWSL policies. Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for M&E systems. Provide technical support, advice, and guidance to both customers and colleagues. Ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction. Accurately report on performance and ensure best value for money in service delivery. Maintain strong communication with the Client, Customers, and Salisbury teams. Liaise with Account Support, Lead Engineers, Managers, and Sub-Contractors to ensure service delivery within SLAs. Keep the Maximo system updated via the company-issued tablet, ensuring accurate timekeeping and reporting. Take ownership of the site, ensuring exceptional service standards. Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours call-outs. Ensure a strong working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. Assess High Risk vs Low Risk Electrical Systems and produce relevant risk assessments. Prepare Safety Programmes, Permits to Work, and Statements of Isolations in compliance with safety rules. About You Minimum Qualifications & Certifications Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent). City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671). City & Guilds 2391 (Test and Inspect) – Essential. AP12 (or equivalent) Authorised Person LV Electrical System qualification (preferred, but not essential if significant experience is held). Skills & Experience Good understanding of modern office software. Experience using asset/work management systems such as MAXIMO/CAFM on Android tablets. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, particularly across multiple sites and disciplines. At least 1 year in a customer-facing outsourcing environment. Background in mobile engineering and property maintenance. Strong ability to prioritise workload in line with business needs. Experience overseeing and certifying electrical system isolations, in accordance with relevant Safety Rules and Procedures.
