We are looking for dedicated and passionate Band 5 Registered Nurses/ HCPC practitioner to work with our Pre- Operative Assessment Team at Fordcombe Hospital.

Staff members in the Pre-assessment Unit play a pivotal role in delivering safe and efficient pre-operative care to the elective surgical patient. You will be working with the multi-disciplinary teams, including GP’s, Surgical Consultants and Anaesthetists on a daily basis, providing effective clinical assessments to ensure our patients and their families/carers receive excellent preparation for elective surgical procedures.
As a member of the Pre-Operative Assessment Unit, you will play an important role in assessing patients for specialities including ENT, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynae, Breast and Surgical procedures.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date had been agreed.
Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
