Job Summary To work with senior members of the team to complete routine accounting duties for the company such as assisting in the preparation of accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, payroll, and bookkeeping etc. To gain practical experience and technical knowledge by working under the supervision of a Senior Accountant. To be passionate about providing an excellent client experience and will ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with internal and statutory deadlines. Key Roles & Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of financial reports including statutory and management accounts as well as charitable trust accounts.Assist in the preparation of tax returns for self-assessment, corporation, and partnership tax.Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.Provide accurate financial advice to clients as requested by various communication channels, seeking advice from other accountants as required.Deliver company products and services on-time (DOT) and within budget (DIB) as per internal and statutory deadlines.Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.Offer advice and suggestions for improvements to be made.Ensure compliance with legal accounting standards.All employees take responsibility for maximising revenue, cost saving and expenditureRequired Qualifications / Attributes:Willingness to develop an understanding of key tax matters - Corporation Tax, Personal Tax etcStrong excel and computer skills, comfortable using IT systems and keen to develop an understanding of accounting software systemsKeen attitude to learning and growing your knowledge, including a keen interest in accountsExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to work under pressure and to strict deadlinesGood analytical and problem solving skills Butler Rose is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.Butler Rose Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
