Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be on supporting and working alongside the care team to deliver exceptional personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions and development where required. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus asaSeniorCare Assistant will be tosupport and work alongside the Care team todeliverhigh standardsof personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive,andinclusive environmentfor residents,visitorsand staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
* Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
* Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supportingresidents with their medication requirements.
* Undertakingstaff supervisions and supportingstaff with their development whererequired.
* Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications
* To be successful in this role, you must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and the flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities.
