Delta Academies Trust is looking to appoint a Deputy Head of Exchange Teaching Hub to join their team from April 2025 on a secondment or temporary basis. This is a full-time post, but part-time will be considered.
Remit and Purpose of Exchange Teaching Hub
Exchange Teaching Hub is united by a common call to develop great teachers, great school leaders and more great schools in Barnsley, Doncaster, Selby and Wakefield. The Hub will recruit, train, and retain the best.
The Hub will provide trainees and early career teachers with the best possible start to their careers. As well as ensuring that ECTs receive their statutory entitlements, ECTs will be fairly and consistently assessed through the hub role as an Appropriate Body. The NPQs will offer the best possible support and development to teachers and leaders wanting to expand their knowledge and skills. The hubs will mobilise resources to improve schools, sharing efficacious approaches to improvement through teacher and leader development.
As the Deputy Head of Exchange Teaching Hub (ETH) you will support the leadership of the ‘golden thread’ of high quality professional learning to school leaders and teachers in the hub communities and beyond.
· You will lead on specific areas of the Hub’s work, including managing the relationship with the Lead Provider, recruiting and retaining participants, monitoring and quality assuring delivery, monitoring engagement from participants and ensuring that the Hub meets KPIs.
· You will ensure the smooth day to day running of Hub activities, taking responsibility for operational efficiency, systems and processes for agreed activities, deputising for the Head as appropriate to need.
· You will support the leadership of a clear marketing and communications strategy to promote engagement and strong partnerships across Hub activities and localities.
· You will provide effective line management to key members of the central team as appropriate, including Programme Manager(s) and Programme Officer(s).
